Lighting
On the following pages you will find solar-powered lights. Solar panels are used to generate electricity, and LEDs are used as source of light.
As the sun only appears during the day, and the light is not required until after sunset, the generated electricity must be stored using mainly NiMh batteries. A charge regulator prevents damage to the batteries through charge and discharge current.
The light source with battery and charge regulator is always a unit. If the solar panel is not attached to the light, you can install it separately (ideally in the sun), and if you want you can install the light in the shade.
Our solar-powered lights vary in brightness, battery backup time (light duration with fully charged battery) and charge time (time it takes to charge the dead battery during the day). These parameters vary depending on the intended location of the solar panel and incident angle of radiation.
